Chopper Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Coast

An aircraft hovering above a popular southern California coastline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, finally losing altitude and smashing into a cluster of palm groves as onlookers observed.

Footage posted online capture the helicopter beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then plunging towards the perimeter of the coast, where it gets stuck between palm trees and a set of stairs adjacent to the coastal road.

First Aid Information

Local firefighters stated five individuals were taken to hospital comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the accident on that day.

Three people on the road were injured. Details on their condition were not immediately available.

The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
