Football Recap: Denver Stage Fourth-Quarter Comeback Against Eagles, Ravens Endure Historic Home Defeat

Denver Broncos 21–17 Philadelphia Eagles

Denver's quarterback connected with an 11-yard touchdown pass and the running back added a two-yard rushing score in the final period as the Denver Broncos erased a 14-point deficit to hand the Eagles their initial defeat of the season. The Broncos deflected Jalen Hurts' final pass on the game's concluding play to send the reigning title holders to just their second defeat in their last 22 games. Denver (3-2) got fortunate in their comeback when the Philadelphia had a late fourth-down conversion nullified on an illegal shift penalty called on star ball carrier Barkley.

Houston Texans 44–10 Baltimore Ravens

Houston's quarterback passed for 244 yards and four scoring throws, and the Texans (2-3) strolled to a 44-10 win over a depleted Baltimore team, matching both the biggest away victory in Texans' history and the most lopsided home loss in Ravens' history. Baltimore (one win and four losses) were missing star signal-caller Jackson, and that was not their only problem. Key defenders multiple defensive leaders all were absent, and the Baltimore already were depleted on that side of the ball because of a neck problem that concluded the defensive lineman's season. Baltimore were also missing Pro Bowl blocker Ricard and offensive lineman Stanley.

Colts Rout Raiders in One-Sided Affair

Jonathan Taylor scored three touchdowns and a two-pointer, and the quarterback passed for two touchdown passes as the Colts routed the Las Vegas Raiders. The 34-point margin was Indy's largest since 2013. The quarterback completed 20 passes out of 29 attempts for 212 yards and moved to 4-1 as a starter this year, exceeding his combined victory total over the previous two years with the Giants. Taylor carried 17 times for 66 rushing yards and caught three receptions for 20 receiving yards. The Colts turned multiple takeaways into touchdowns. The Raiders fell to four wins and one loss.

Cowboys Soar Past Jets in High-Scoring Game

Dallas' quarterback threw four scoring throws, guiding the Cowboys to a comfortable win over the Jets. Dallas scored on two long marches in the second period, despite missing key linemen on the blocking unit. Javonte Williams gained 135 rushing yards and a score and also caught a TD pass. Dallas, now 2-2-1, bounced back from a high-scoring draw against Green Bay last week. New York are still without a victory at zero wins and five losses in Aaron Glenn's inaugural year as head coach.

Minnesota Vikings 21–17 Cleveland Browns

Vikings receiver Jordan Addison caught a short scoring reception from the quarterback with under half a minute remaining to give Minnesota a win over the Cleveland Browns at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The 10-play, 80-yard drive gave the Vikings (three wins and two losses) a crucial victory on their overseas journey, which began with a 24-21 loss to the Pittsburgh in Dublin last Sunday. This also marred Dillon Gabriel's debut as starter, as the Cleveland rookie positioned his squad (1-4) in position to win by throwing two scores. Another first-year player Quinshon Judkins gained 110 yards on 23 carries. Wentz shook off a shoulder injury that briefly forced him out and led two touchdown marches in the latter half.

Panthers Stage Epic Comeback Against Dolphins

Bryce Young passed for two scores and Rico Dowdle rushed for 206 yards and a score as the Panthers rallied past the Dolphins in their home stadium. The quarterback's short pass to the first-year receiver with under two minutes to play gave the Panthers (2-3) the decisive advantage as they matched the biggest rally to secure victory in franchise history by overcoming a large deficit. The QB had a horrific first quarter, but he ended up 19 completions on 30 attempts for 198 yards with one pick. Dowdle, replacing the sidelined starter, did his damage on the run on 23 carries, falling four yards of matching the single-game franchise rushing record. The Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa threw 27 passes out of 36 for 256 passing yards with three touchdowns and receiver Waddle accumulated 110 yards through the air on six receptions and scored a touchdown, but the Dolphins (one win and four losses) dropped to 0-3 in road games.

New York Giants 14–26 New Orleans Saints

New Orleans' quarterback threw an 87-yard score to receiver Shaheed, defensive back Howden returned a fumble 86 yards for a score, and New Orleans defeated the error-prone New York Giants for the New Orleans' first victory under rookie coach Kellen Moore. Rattler earned his maiden win in 11 career starts, throwing for 225 passing yards without a turnover. New York's first-year signal-caller Jaxson Dart, who won his first career start last week, passed for 202 yards and two touchdowns, but also turned the ball over on three occasions. The Giants turned the ball over five times in all, with none worse than when Bryan Bresee forced a fumble from running back Cam Skattebo, leading to Howden's touchdown. Each squad are one win and four losses.
