New England tied their top unbeaten stretch from the Tom Brady period as they beat AFC East rivals the Jets by 13 points in the NFL

Rookie Henderson led the way with three scores as the Patriots secured an eight-game winning streak for the initial occasion since star signal-caller Brady's final season with the team in the 2019 season

Signal-caller Drake Maye accumulated 281 passing yards and a score, completing 25 of 34 passes

The triumph extends the New England's advantage at the top of the division as they improved to nine wins and two defeats, with the New York at the foot after slipping to a 2-8 mark

The opposing team had scored first at Gillette Stadium with quarterback Fields rushing for a short rushing score to conclude the Jets' first possession

But the Patriots answered in the second quarter as Henderson scored two seven-yard touchdowns before the running back caught a pass from Drake Maye at the rear of the endzone halfway into the third period to push the score to 21-7

"That was a crucial moment for him stepping up, and it's been excellent for him to keep getting these reps," Maye commented on the rookie. "He desires to be excellent."

Fields found Metchie in the latter part of the third quarter to close the gap for the visitors but Borregales kicked a two kicks in the fourth quarter as the home side sealed the win
